Working Drawings and Construction Inspections

Working drawings are a follow-on exercise from the tender drawings and are updated as required to meet the clients brief and the building regulation code. The builder may have a requirement for additional information or detailing on elements of the building; the site or existing structure may throw up unforeseen detailing issues and require further consideration. Our working drawings are continuously updated during the building stage of the project and issued to the builder, as well as building control.

We prepare an inspection plan and submit to the building control authority. We implement the site inspection framework. We have regular site meetings with the contractor (this may involve numerous site visits), and issue stage payment certificates when appropriate.

Record and solve any compliance issues. We will respond to building control authority in relation to information requests. We provide the contractor with a snag list on completion and hold back retention money as per the contract. We provide compliance certificates with planning and building regulations on completion. Submit any amendments to drawings or documentation to the building control authorities.
